When we do bad things, bad things happen to us." What a great simple truth, but let me carry it one step further. When you do or say something bad to someone, they will tell at least ten people what a jerk you are. When you do or say something good to someone, probably they won't tell anyone. So just to keep people's opinion of you neutral, you have to do ten times as much good as you do bad. So strive to always do good. So when you do slip up and do or say something bad, others will know its just a slip up. Its not the real you.

Roses

Does it upset you that roses have thorns or are you happy that thorns have roses among them? There have been times when I think I've had a negative influence in some people's lives and that deeply bothers me. I have never intentionally set out to harm anyone mentally, physically or spiritually. And yet, I know there are times in my life when I've left people with a less than favorable opinion of me. My consolation is knowing we are all a moral work in progress. God is working on all of us and gently directing us to become the people he created us to be. When I think of Good Friday it makes me realize what Jesus did for us. Jesus died for us giving His life so we could live eternally in heaven with God our Father. If you don't know Jesus, and you're putting it off because you think you need to clean up your act or you're waiting till you're older, know that he will take you just as you are. No conditions! You don't have to change anything. Come to Him and let Jesus make you the person He wants you to be. John 14:6 "Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life, no man can come to the Father but by me." Confess Jesus is the Son of God and ask him to forgive you all your sins. Make Him Lord of your Life. You will have peace and joy. God has a wonderful plan for your life.

Happy Easter!

Carolyn S

Solving Problems

Lately, I've been thinking about how we solve problems in our lives. It seems that if we "sleep on it" or wait a few days, there's always a good chance we'll come with an answer to our problem. I used to pat myself on the back for finding a solution but now I'm not so sure I deserve a pat on the back. Maybe I don't come up with an answer at all but rather God reveals the answer to me. More and more I'm starting to believe that is what happens.
